Antigua was inscribed as World Heritage Site. It has
suffered from and volcanic earthquake many times. However, Antigua
reestabrished each time right now, those churchs which are broken, were notable
sites. And also here, Many many young tourlists visit for a long time. In fact, Antigua
is the best way station in Central America. On the other hand, Here still has the possibility
to occur an another earthquake, although every tourlist doesn't know about it......I used to know that
though before I came here. In fact of the matter, Antigua locates like enclosed by three valcanic mountains.
I've never seen any garden of house in Guatemala, when I walk on the street. The reason is that
security is so poor and you cannot behave like I have money, so every house shows us just
windows with iron grille and solid doors like some gate. The right picture is night.
In the night, there are not so many people here except main streets.
Those pictures are also at night in Antigua. The top one is Antigua's city hall and left one is
Cathedral. Interestingly, in every city of Guatemala has each cathedral and also each
central park like Antigua. By the way, right one is a fountain which has a history.
And this is the central park in the day time and night as I wrote before. Every weekend, they
do some festival, which I don't understand anything. How can they celebrate every
weekend?? In the night, the park is the meeting point for foreigners to drink
Ok, the last one is Antigua's view. I took the picture on the hill,
Cerro De Cruz (Crisscross hill). On the hill, you can see the whole Antigua
as the picuture. To tell the truth, I wanted to take the picture at night, but...
th security of hill is too poor and you can meet some robber in daytime as well. It's sad
Guatemala is so dangerous....even here has many nice place to visit. This is the all Antigua, I think.
